The results revealed that (1) 50% of home care workers performed psychosocial work of consultation as well as nursing care and household support among their work, (2) 79% of them utilized some forms of communication skills, (3) the techniques utilized most frequently included nodding, back-channel feedback, sympathy, clarification, and repetition, and (4) the effects of communication to maintain the confidential relationship and familiarity with users included emotional, mental, and psychological stabilization, reduced behavioral disorder, milder personality, and existence cognition capability.
