| 内容記述 | 〔目的〕日本では10～39歳の死因第1 位が自殺であり，小中高生の自殺者数も増加している。韓国でも若年層の自殺が問題となっており，日本と韓国は学校現場での自殺対策の充実という共通課題を有している。韓国では，企業と民間団体が共同プロジェクトを立ち上げ，生徒の主体的参加を促すことに重点を置いた自殺予防授業を実践するなど，新規の取組が展開されている。日本の対策の充実において，参考となる情報を得るために視察した。 〔方法〕日程調整及び事前質問の送付を担当し，2024年8 月に韓国にある生命尊重事務局を訪問した。視察メンバーの1 人が通訳を担当し，主に韓国語でプロジェクト担当者へ聞き取り調査を実施した。帰国後，調査の要点を整理し，生命尊重事務局に確認をしながら記述内容を確定した。 〔結果〕プロジェクトは企業のCSR（Corporate Social Responsibility）による資金背景があり，メンターの長期派遣及び自殺予防授業を展開するプログラムと，授業の普及を目的としたプログラムから構成されていた。自殺予防授業では，ゲームを活用して生徒の集中を促す工夫が施され，また，援助希求に先行して感情の認識・言語化を扱う段階的な教育が展開されていた。 〔結論〕メンターの継続派遣，ゲームを活用した授業の実践，段階的な授業プログラム，全国展開を見据えた普及戦略等の取組は，日本における学校自殺予防教育の発展および新たな対策の検討に有用な示唆を与えるものであった。 |

| 内容記述 | [Objective] Suicide is the leading cause of death among individuals aged 10 to 39 in Japan. Additionally, suicides among elementary, junior high, and high school students have been increasing. Notably, youth suicide is also a major concern in South Korea; hence, Japan and South Korea share the common challenge of strengthening school-based suicide prevention measures. In South Korea, new initiatives include joint projects led by companies and private organizations and suicide prevention classes designed to promote active student participation. This observation aimed to gather reference information from South Korea to inform and strengthen Japan’s countermeasures. [Methods] As part of our responsibilities for scheduling and sending preliminary questions, we visited the Life Respect Initiative Office, in South Korea in August 2024. One member of the observation team served as an interpreter and conducted interviews with project personnel, primarily in Korean. After returning to Japan, we organized key findings and finalized the written content while confirming details with the Life Respect Initiative Office. [Results] Funded through corporate social responsibility initiatives, the project comprised two programs: one focused on long-term mentor dispatch and suicide prevention classes, and another aimed at disseminating these classes. The suicide prevention classes incorporated games to enhance student engagement and followed a stepwise educational approach. The content addressed emotion recognition and verbalization before introducing help-seeking. [Conclusion] Initiatives such as continuous mentor dispatch, implementation of game-based lessons, a phased lesson program, and a dissemination strategy for nationwide expansion provided useful insights for strengthening school-based suicide prevention education in Japan. |
