| 内容記述 | The purpose of this report is to examine the effectiveness of intervention for disabled people living at home by a visiting team that consists of a physiotherapist, a public health nurse and a social worker in the community, who work together in a remote area in Aomori, Japan. Method:The subjects were 97 patiens (77% were stroke patients) and they were mainly evaluated by the physiotherapists and the public health nurses before and after the eight months of intervention. The intervention for the disabled people living at home was carried out once a month or every other month by the team members from August 1999 to March 2002. The patients and their family members were guided by the team members on how to move better or how to assist activities of daily living and transfer techniques, and so on. Two evaluation tools were used. One was the Barthel Index (BI) used to assess ADL (total score: 100 points), and the other was assessment by the Family Relationship Chart (FRC; total score: 36 points), an assessment tool concerning human relationships between the patient and his/her family members. Result: In the intervention group (n = 57), as the score after intervention not only on the BI but also on the FRC was significantly higher than before. On the other hand, in the non intervention group (n = 27 ) when the scores before and after intervention were compared, on the BI and on the FRC were no different. Conclusion: This study confirms the effectiveness of home visiting intervention for disabled people and their families by the visiting team of colaborating physiotherapists, healthcare and the welfare staff in the community. | |||||
