| 内容記述 | Since "Gold Plan 21" for senior citizens was launched by the Ministry of Health. Labour and Welfare in 1999, nursing care, preventive care, social support and so forth have been promoted. With the introduction of the nursing insurance system, efforts have been made to ensure that senior citizens maintain their dignity and independence, and can make a positive contribution to society. With these goals in mind, the Ministry has tried to project the image of the "vigorous, active senior citizen", but this image is not obviously supported by the policies of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The purpose of this study is to understand the present condition of the senior citizens and to show the image of the "vigorous, active senior citizen". This research looks at the consciousness of senior citizen from the point of view of interpersonal communication referring to data in Aomori and Hokkaido. We can prevent any isolation or reduction in their communication activity, which people of advanced age can easily experience, through rethinking their contribution to society and communication activities. The "vigorous, active senior citizen" needs to communicate with surrounding people, not only with family but outside the family especially. They need to look at social activities from a wide view point and to maintain their dignity and be independent. | |||||
