| 内容記述 | This study aims to clarify the psychosocial issues faced by advanced cancer patients undergoing outpatient chemotherapy in their daily lives, and to examine nursing support for such patients. Data obtained in semi-structured interviews with 16 advanced cancer patients undergoing outpatient chemotherapy who were notified that they had cancer and who consented to cooperate in this study were analyzed qualitatively. Six psychosocial issues were identified: restrictions on daily activities, hopes for and anxieties about their limited lifetime, expectations and fear of chemotherapy which is the only remaining effective treatment for them, securing an environment for receiving treatment safely without anxiety, change in interpersonal relationships, and the need for a place to receive emotional support. The results show that nursing support to solve psychosocial issues of advanced cancer patients undergoing outpatient chemotherapy requires 1) support that allows the patient to maintain his day-to-day lifestyle to the extent possible, 2) assurance they have been given effective treatment, 3) provision of places to receive emotional support. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
