| 内容記述 | 本論文の目的は、外国語教育におけるテクノロジーの使用に関する概観と、新しく導入されたLT2の設備とソフトウェアにまつわる教員の体験の報告にある。2010年度の前期の終わりに、各英語教員に質問用紙が配られた。その回答を照合し、質的に分析した結果、3つの主な課題が明らかになった。第１に、教員は外国語教育にテクノロジーを利用することの利点にはっきりと気づいているが、同時にクラスの目標に合わせた明確なゴールがなければ、その利点は実現化されないのではないかと懸念している。第２に、教員は若い世代の学習者の日常生活においてテクノロジーが膨大な役割を果たしていることと、学習時のテクノロジーの使用がモチベーションに良い影響を与えることを認識している。しかし、そのテクノロジーを十分に活用しているとは言えない。 第３に、教員のテクノロジーの使用経験はかなり限られており、そのことが機器の使用を困難にしている。 学生に新しく効率的な学習体験を提供できるようにシステムを最大限に活用するには、まず教員がそのスキルを磨き、知識を豊かにしなくてはならない。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to present an overview of technology use in foreign language education and to report on English teachers' experiences regarding the new LT2 equipment and software. A questionnaire was distributed to English teachers at end of semester 1, 2010. Responses from the questionnaire were collated and qualitatively analyzed revealing three main issues. First, teachers show a clear awareness of the potential benefits of using technology in language learning yet at the same time are mindful that without clear goals related to course aims, the benefits may not be realized. Second, teachers recognize the immense role of technology in young learners' lives and are aware that use of technology in learning positively affects motivation; however, use of technology is still fairly limited. Third, the majority of teachers do not have a lot of previous experience in using technology in the classroom so this is defining the ways in which they use the equipment. In order to use the system to its full potential so as to provide students with new and effective learning experiences, teachers first need to increase their knowledge and skills of language learning technology. | |||||||||||
