| 内容記述 | This paper tries to demonstrate significant effectiveness of development education in medical education at the tertiary level. Development education was developed in the 1960s as a means of teaching about developing countries. The teaching method peculiar to development education is "participatory learning," which encourages participants to take part actively in the learning processes on their own initiative. This method develops participants' awareness of "becoming a member of a group" and also develops communication skills, which are essential for participating in group work, and which are also useful in teams engaged in medical treatment. | |||||||||||
