| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to report on a five-week study of community care, especially community physiotherapy care, undertaken by the author in England from June to August 2000. Method: The study was carried out in North Bristol and in South West London, and was arranged by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in the Community. Conclusions: The following important points about community care in England emerged from the study: 1) Community physiotherapy is an important part of the NHS community care and primary healthcare systems, and is supported by NHS networks and policies. 2) There is a strong will to make things possible, no matter how severely disabled the client is, and a professionalism which seeks to avoid unnecessary hospitalization and prevent disability. 3) Excellent techniques are used by senior physiotherapists, especially the Bobath concept for cerebral palsy and stroke patients. 4) Patients, families and carers are supported in the community through consultation and instruction in necessary skills. 5) Control of the living environment and wheelchair and other devices bring acceptance of disability, which supports participation in social activities for disabled clients. | |||||
