| 内容記述 | 本研究では、高齢者虐待防止法にみる虐待の定義や、施設で暮らす高齢者の権利とは何か、職員や管理者にはどのような義務が科せられるのか、また、施設で暮らす高齢者の生活の質とは何かなどを、先行研究を踏まえながら整理し、考察した。その上で、アンケート調査により、青森県内の特別養護老人ホーム職員に対して高齢者虐待防止に向けた研修ニーズの実態を概観した。その結果、虐待研修のニーズは高いものの、研修の頻度、時間数、形態などに課題が存在することがわかった。 また、勤務ローテーションが多様なため、研修受講者の時間の確保や研修プログラムの企画などで苦慮している現状が明らかになった。さらに、「職員のメンタルケア」、「人権を配慮したケア」、「接遇やコミュニケーション技術」、「事例を通した高齢者との関わり方」、「虐待防止のための職員相互の連携体制」などの研修テーマへの要望が高いことが明らかになった。施設内において高齢者虐待防止研修を展開する場合、職員個々人の資質や意識の問題だけではなく、施設における構造的課題も視野に入れながら検討されなければならないことが示唆された。 Based on information from earlier investigations, this study collated and reviewed various issues including what the definition of abuse is according to the Law of Prevention of Elder Abuse, what the rights of the elderly living in such facilities are, what sort of obligations are imposed on the staff and administrators of such facilities, as well as what “quality of life” for the elderly living in these facilities means. In addition, in order to gain an overview of training needs regarding the prevention of elder abuse, a questionnaire survey was conducted which targeted the staff of a special nursing home for the elderly in Aomori Prefecture. The results showed that despite the high level of need for abuse prevention training, there are still many issues which need to be addressed such as the frequency, time, and form of training. It was also discovered that a wide variety of working shifts makes it difficult at present to secure time for trainees and devise a training program. Furthermore, it was confirmed that themes which top the list of training needs include “mental care for staff,” “care giving consideration to human rights,” “courtesy and communication techniques,” “associating with the elderly with the aid of case examples,” and “a joint approach by staff for abuse prevention.” It was suggested that in developing the training for preventing elder abuse in the facility, not only the attributes and awareness of individual staff, but structural issues regarding the facility must be addressed as well. |
