| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to investigate respiratory functions associated with changes of disability over an 8- month period among patients with cerebrovascular disease living at home. The subjects were 18 cerebrovascular disease patients living at home who were investigated at baseline, between August and October 1992. The results were as follows: 1) No overall changes of %VC, FEV 1.0%, V 50, V 25, ADL score and walking required time for 10 m distance were seen between the baseline and follow-up studies. 2) ADL improvement was seen in 22.2% and 27.8% had declines. Walking required time for 10 m distance was shorter for 27.8% of the patients and longer 22.2% within 8 months between the baseline and follow-up studies. 3) The stroke patients with low ADL had low respiratory functions in the baseline study, but, those were not significantly difference between the two studies. These findings suggest that a stroke registry for major hospitals in the community area is useful for promoting community-wide program for the prevention of secondary diseases and home care of stroke victims. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
